Gronovius, Johan Frederik (b. Leiden, Netherlands1686; d. Leiden1762). Natural history. Dutch naturalist, senator of Leiden. Linnaeus’s patron and friend. Published Flora Virginica (1743, 1762) based on John Clayton's specimens and manuscript.
